We have several openings for a PART AND FULL-TIME RECE & NON-ECE CHILDCARE TEACHERS at our
Brampton, Bramalea, Richmond Hill and Mississauga locations:
Qualifications Required for RECE Teachers:
- Early Childhood Education diploma or degree
- Must be registered and a member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE)
Qualifications Required for both RECE & non-ECE Teachers:
- Previous experience with all age groups will be beneficial and considered an asset
- Experience and sensitivity in dealing with members of diverse cultural and racial backgrounds, including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity
- Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff and volunteers
- Excellent written communication skills
- Up to date standard First Aid, CPR (Level C) certification, vulnerable sector check and immunization record
- Flexibility regarding assigned working hours, ability to work split shifts, early morning and mid-late afternoons, and evenings
- A capacity to work within a team and excellent leadership skills and ability
- Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort: lifting up to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bending and stooping
- Must be able to work outdoors for at least 2 hours daily year-round; may be exposed to heat, humidity or cold
- All interested candidates must have a flexibility schedule regarding work hours and be available to work between the hours of 7 am and 6:30 pm Monday to Friday and be able to work in different classrooms dealing with children from 3 months to 12 years of age. A reliable mode of transportation to get to and from the centre is also required
- There are opportunities for advancement within our organization which include full-time ECE positions – once there is a vacancy available. All current and active part-time staff will be given top priority when a full-time job is posted within our centre(s)
